Product Description

You will get plants with a total of at least 20 leaves combined (see 2nd picture to compare size to a quarter). Frogbit is great at removing toxic chemicals (e.g. ammonia, heavy metals, etc.) from your water, provides natural cover for shrimp and fish, and looks amazing.

If you select the feeding ring option, you will also get one of our invisible 2.5" feeding rings that is auto-leveling and fully customizable to any size using standard 3/16" airline tubing (see images and video).

Special Mystery Plant Included

You will get 1-2 heads of another type of aquatic plant we think you will like. If you buy 2, you will get 2 unique mystery plants (3, 4, etc.).

How and Where We Grow Our Plants

All plants are grown in our in-house aquatic nursery in California, which operates in a snail and duckweed free environment (though we do carry "giant duckweed," which is much larger than traditional duckweed, and we utilize beneficial freshwater scuds). All established aquatic environments, including ours, contain microfauna such as seed shrimp, limpets, and infusoria. A few of these "hitchhikers" are unavoidable and are not anything to fear.

Live Plant Promise

Plants may turn partly yellow/brown during transit and roots may be damaged. That is OK — they are extremely resilient and will begin multiplying within about one week of being placed in your tank. What you are buying should be viewed as a "seed" from which you will eventually get more plants than you know what do do with!

If for some reason your plants don't make it for any reason, not to worry — you are 100% protected by our Live Plant Promise.

The plants are still doing well months later, now I’m looking to get red roof floaters for more color but these plants do great with a lot of light, they multiply then detach themselves and prosper well with little work, BUT after they increase in number you might have to inject Co2, I keep a light fish load so the plants don’t have a lot of nutrients to grow, but that’s an easy fix , my water is super clear and the Co2 injections help all the plants and don’t disturb the fish so the floaters are emerald green and the water is crystal clear

It is always a bit of a miss or hit ordering aquatic plants on-line. I was very pleased with this order though and would definitely order from them again. The plants arrived healthy and immediately perked up and began sprouting roots and reproducing. They were very healthy and are thriving in my tank. The bonus plants are great too. I'd never seen nor had their type in my tanks before but am a big fan. My betta is extremely happy with the new floating plant coverage as well.

Plants came healthy and packaged very well. The red root floaters were a nice bonus. The extra long roots really add dimension to the tank. They are so long that they might not be suited well for smaller tanks, although you may be looking for that kinda crowded look.

I have a 65 gallon tank, so I ordered 2 batches. This was totally unnecessary. They doubled in volume in 3 weeks. I am already anticipating having to thin them out soon. I read another review where they got no growth after several weeks. I am not sure what they were doing wrong. Mine have exploded and mine is just a simple setup.

Was told would get 20 plants, or more, but I got about 5 that were decent size plants. Then I got about 15 that are the size of fish food flakes. I put only one of those in and fish thought it was food. I kept them in a bowl of water with a light hoping they would grow. No such luck. Waste of money!!!

Probably my mistake for ordering around Christmas, which delayed shipping. The Frogbit arrived today, but it smells a little funny and it was extremely cold in the package and I worry it was frozen over the holiday weekend.
They all look very clean I don't see any snail eggs or anything.
I put them in water and hope they'll do well and survive. I worry that they froze and wont recover from it though. From what I read online if they freeze they die.

Personally, I wouldn't buy from them again. I brought frogbit from two different companies on Amazon. This company had the worst. Very small, fragile, week, hardly any roots and most died within a week. Think I have one small one left. Their bonus plant is water lettuce. I brought frogbit form my axolotl tank. His tank stays between 64° to maybe 70°. Main reason I wanted frogbit. The water lettuce, died within two day's because of water temperature. The frogbit that I purchased from the other company is doing great. They are huge, lots of roots, and leaves. I did keep them separated with a divider to give small one's a chance. Honestly, the only pro I could give this company is the how it was packaged and shipped.
