Porsche says that it is the cooling as well as the aerodynamic systems of the new 911 GT3 RS that connect it with the 911 GT3 R race car.

Engine specs

The 4-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine on the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS puts out 525 PS of max power, and is mated to a 7-speed PDK auto gearbox. 0 to 100 kmph comes in at 3.2 seconds.

Weight reduction

Weight reduction is evident inside the cabin as well. The car weighs 1,450 kg, thanks to extensive usage of CFRP.

Massive rear wing

The new 911 GT3 RS gets a huge rear wing. This is the first time on any production Porsche wherein the upper edge of the rear wing is higher than the roof.

Packages

There are two packages on offer - Clubsport (no extra cost), and Weissach package (chargeable). The former includes a steel rollover bar, a hand-held fire extinguisher and six-point seat belts. The latter gets a CFRP roll bar, PDK shift paddles and more.

Porsche has priced the new 911 GT3 RS at Rs 3.25 crore (ex-showroom), which means that spotting one on road would be next to impossible!
