Indian Gaming Firms Look To Hire More Women

Major Indian gaming firms like Zynga, SuperGaming, Gamestacy, now.gg, and Gamezop are making inclusivity a goal as the organizations aim to hire more women. This comes as the number of females in the gaming space continues to rise.

“More than half of the players who play our mobile and casual games are female, and that needs to reflect in our workforce as well,” said Bhavna Talwar, the senior director of human resources at Zynga.

Zynga has implemented a two-tier approach to hiring more women. This initiative will focus on inspiring female students to pursue careers in the gaming industry. Zynga will do this by pairing students with game designers and developers via the Zynga mentorship program.

All the other aforementioned companies have gone above and beyond to bring more representation to women, too. This includes bringing more women onto interview panels, partnering with design campuses to hire women, creating more inclusive games, and so on.
