Kristen Stewart Expertly Styles a Sheer Beaded Halter Top With No Bra

This Y2K-inspired look feels very of the moment.

Kristen Stewart has been killing it lately when it comes to risque, barely-there looks, and lucky for all of us, she's nailed it again. The actress was seen out and about in New York City yesterday, rocking a Y2K-inspired see-through halter top with no bra underneath.

The sheer black top was tied in the back with multiple laces, while in front, strips of beads were layered over a sheer black or grey fabric. She also wore a black maxi-skirt and strappy stiletto heels. Her messy bangs and mullet were pulled back in a high ponytail, and she carried a small black Chanel handbag to match her clothes. Sheer knee-high socks and black sunnies completed the monochromatic look.

She wore this ensemble to her appearance on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night, where she discussed some of her more notable recent looks, like when she famously posed in a jockstrap for the cover of Rolling Stone while promoting her upcoming film, Love Lies Bleeding, a thriller about a “literal strong woman” body-builder.

Colbert joked that it was “a perfectly lovely cover and that she looks better in a jock strap than I ever did."

"Let’s keep this light," Stewart joked while discussing why the Rolling Stone shoot had triggered such a feisty public discourse. "There’s a certain overt acknowledgment of a female sexuality that has its own volition in a way that’s annoying for people who are sexist and homophobic. Female sexuality isn’t supposed to actually want anything but to be had.”

Her new film, Love Lies Bleeding, comes out on May 3.
