FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team will be faced with their toughest opponent this season in No. 2 Lynn at the NSU Tennis Complex on Monday at 3:00 p.m. The last two seasons, the Sharks upset the Fighting Knights in the regular season, 5-4.
"This is one of the most anticipated matches on the schedule," head coach Doug Neagle said. "Lynn has a great program and they are one of the toughest teams to face in the conference."
Lynn comes into Monday's match boasting a 13-0 record and has not surrendered a single point to a conference opponent this season while the Sharks hold a 5-5 record with a 2-1 mark in the conference. The Knights also have two doubles teams and three singles players ranked in the Top-20.
No. 23 Luicelena Perez and Isabella Lowrey make their debut as a nationally-ranked doubles team facing top-ranked Diana Bogolii and Rosalie Willig. Nastassia Rubel and Simone Pratt will look to stay undefeated facing No. 17 Grace Mpassy-Zoumba and Stefanie Stemer at No. 2 doubles.
In singles, ninth-ranked Perez will face Lynn's top singles player, sixth-ranked, Bogolii. With a win, Perez will be the fourth singles player in NSU history to start the season 10-0. Pratt puts her six-match win streak on the line against No. 14 Mpassy-Zoumba at No. 2 and Nastassia Rubel faces her first ranked singles opponent this season in No. 15 Willig at No. 3.
