The “Everyday” Museum of Ettore Guatelli
The museum tells the story of the last fifty years of Italy, divided between the desire of forgetting its own past and going in search of its historical identity.
Since when he was a boy, Ettore has gone in search of craftwork tools by scavengers; at the beginning for his family’s lack of money and later, during italian economic growth in the 50’s, as a passionate collector with the aim to rescue the culture and traditions of his community.
Hammers, pilers, shovels, barrels cover up the walls following geometric motifs, fill up furnitures and shelfs. The effect is scenographic and the original object’s arrangement project can perfectly evoke the daily routine of a farmer’s life.
