January 29, 2021
There's a little of everything on this update, including some rarely available species. Neolamprologus christyi is a seldom seen fish in the hobby that should be more popular with it's jet black coloration and lyretail.

One of the coolest fish to come into the hobby in recent years is Danakilia sp. "Shukoray". They're relatively peaceful, but in constant motion like Tropheus or mbuna. Males in breeding dress develop a large nuchal hump, and are a dark, olive green with a bright yellow head. They're found in shallow water along the border between Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Dave's Rare Aquarium Fish T-shirts and decals are available through Pod 6 Products. They're made to order, and available in a wide selection of colors and styles.
