JS Motorcycle's CBX1000

To compensate for the CBX's lack of low rpm, the piston diameter was changed and the displacement was increased to draw enough power to the limit from the start. 6-1 titanium pipe makes the sound of the straight-six engine the best. The all hand-bent titanium heated color looks great. The sound of the engine as it blows through the air is a sound that cannot be produced by a 4-cylinder engine. It is not a bombastic sound, but a mature sound. The purpose of this CBX is not only to be fast, but also to be comfortable, so the weight is not reduced beyond what is necessary. There is no reason not to install a lightweight bike, but to equip it with features that will lead to rider comfort, which is the customization method that follows the concept. Fuel gauge, navigation system, and ETC can be installed according to the rider's needs. Machined parts are used throughout. The design is high quality and never boring, and does not seek the latest fads. It is a machine that you will grow to love over time.

Wiseco piston to increase diameter. Unexpectedly, it feels underpowered at low rpm. But as a straight-six engine, the increased displacement makes up for it.

Chassis

The suspension was set up with the theme of comfortable riding, not aggressive cornering, with good initial actuation by laydown, high spring rate, and low initial thrust to reduce thrust. The Hyper Pro is a new style of twin shock with very good actuation and excellent damping, etc. Since there are no shocks specifically designed for the CBX, it was installed with modified specifications. The shocks are designed to provide good movement, stability, and style. The rotors are Sunstar rotors front and rear. They are highly reliable, easy to handle, and provide moderate braking force.

There are not many forks that match JSmotorcycle's comfort level. The forks are made with a priority on operability, and are different from existing aftermarket forks.

Electrical

Since the stock generator has frequent problems, a dynamo with a low trouble rate is used along with an easy-to-manage MF battery. Although nowadays, the dynamo is considered a heavyweight item for SS, it fits well with the powerful 6-cylinder engine. A long-life, excellent product is installed. The electrical harness is a JSmotorcycle's original harness with new parts such as a simplified starter relay for better operation and reliability. A new fuse box with blade fuses was installed, and an optional power socket was pre-installed for convenience. JSmotorcycle's originally developed ignition unit retains the factory full-transistor mechanism, but the unit is highly reliable and assures reliable ignition.

An overhaul is mandatory before the meter needle of an old Honda bike starts dancing. After they start dancing violently, the unit will be damaged and difficult to repair.

Intake & Exhaust

BITO R&D's FCR Φ33 Carburetor. The power feel of the FCR carb is unique to the forced open/close carb. With the funnel specification, it is undeniable that power is reduced at low speeds. This is covered by the piston bore. A hand-bent titanium exhaust by J's, which expresses the characteristic straight 6 sound with a 6-1 assembly, is installed, and its hand-bent curves also appeal to the 6-cylinder character. The Φ60 tail pipe has a high deformation rate when bent by hand, so recently, a ring cutter is often used to maintain the roundness of the pipe.

Frame

Jays_CBX_03.jpg

Old motorcycles are not so strong, and CBXs are even weaker because of its diamond frame, but tire size and alignment are important in building a chassis. There are some customization that emphasizes flexing, but unless the use of the motorcycle is to run for top time on a circuit, it is possible to achieve straight line stability and response in corners with a frame that has almost no reinforcement.

Swingarm rigidity is an important aspect of overall rigidity, and high Swingarm rigidity proves that the frame does not sag. The Swingarm's natural movement is to stroke up and down properly, not to move left and right separately. The stabilizers allow hooks to be mounted on either side for easy storage and maintenance.

Bodyworks

The exterior is very carefully primed and fully painted down to the line with the help of the top quality paint factory "Paint of Joker". Old paint is always stripped off the old paint, including the tank, and dents are corrected in the steel condition with as little putty as possible. Thorough groundwork ensures a long-lasting, beautiful paint job. As a point of interest, wrinkle paint is applied to the tank cap and meter panel to give them a look befitting of a high-end bike.

Carbon parts are indispensable to enhance the presence of the motorcycle. The meter case, side covers, and rear inner fenders are original carbon parts. They could be seen even when parked.
