Anime, sci-fi, and comics fans – it’s time to celebrate. The wildly popular St. Pete Comic Con is back for its third annual extravaganza this weekend, January 6-7, at The Coliseum, and tickets are available here.
The two-day, multi-genre event will feature comics, anime, sci-fi, and cosplay. Guests include big-name voice actors, big-time comic artists, and several of the region’s top cosplayers. In addition, there will be more than 50 hours of programming that ranges from contests and competitions, to themed festivals and panel discussions. The programming also includes a cosplay contest, a makeup and SFX competition, a TikTok Film Festival (and TikTok Lounge), a lip sync competition, and many panel discussions. There will also be free video gaming in the balcony.
The list of celebrity guests is headlined by Monster High creator Garrett Sander, the creative genius behind the beloved franchise. Brace yourself for a thrilling encounter with the mind that birthed a legion of iconic characters like Frankiestein, Draculaura. Clawdeen Wolf, Cleo De Nile, and Lagoona Blue. Plus, he will be signing dolls for free.
Voice actors at St. Pete Comic Con 2024 portray major characters in a wide variety of popular shows, games, and animated series such as Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Sailor Moon, Monster High, Ever After High, Sonic The Hedgehog, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, and many more. Voice actors appearing at St. Pete Comic Con include Karen Strassman, Cindy Robinson, and Wally Wingert.

In addition to the voice actors, the internationally-renowned body painter Nicole Hays will be a part of the action at St. Pete Comic Con. plus, comic artist Dexter Vines will be on hand, celebrated for his work in both Marvel and DC Comics, particularly Batman and Superman. To round out the celebrity guests, globally-known cosplayer Willow Creativ will also be part of the fun.
“We’re bringing in top talent from comics, anime, and cosplay to St. Petersburg, one of the best cities in the universe to have a comic convention,” organizer Dewey Caruthers said.
