If anyone knows how to rock pearl necklaces in the most unexpected way, it’s Juliette Lewis. On Saturday night, the star stepped out at the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards, sporting an oversized pearl choker that called to mind her 1992 Academy Awards appearance, 30 years ago.

Celebrating the year’s best television series, the ceremony honored Lewis’ Amazon show Yellowjackets. She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Broadcast Network or Cable Series in the Drama category for her role as the rebellious Natalie.

Lewis arrived in a black strapless paillette-covered Givenchy column dress, styled by Dani Charlton and Emma Rubenstein, paired with Stuart Weitzman pointy-toe pumps, rings from Vhernier and Pianegonda, and a statement-making pearl choker from Givenchy.

Letting her long brunette hair down in soft waves, the look evoked a more mature rendition of her ensemble to the 1992 Oscars ceremony.

She attended the Academy Awards hand-in-hand with her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt, walking the red carpet in what is arguably one of her most memorable red carpet looks. Wearing an unexpected set of cornrows, an embellished ivory gown, silky opera gloves, statement earrings, and a long, cascading string of pearls wrapped twice around her neck.

That year marked Pitt’s first time at the legendary ceremony, while Lewis was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Cape Fear.

Along with her success in Yellowjackets, Lewis has yet another project in the works. Set to appear in the forthcoming Hulu series Welcome to Chippendales, the true crime drama also stars Kumail Nanjiani, The White Lotus‘ Murray Bartlett, Quentin Plair, and Annaleigh Ashford, set to premiere in 2023.
