Aircraft developer, Thranda Design, has released their Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter for X-Plane 11.
The Pilatus PC-6 is a Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL), single-engine utility aircraft used around the globe to gain access to areas in which conventional aircraft can not get to. The Porter has been manufactured by Pilatus in Switzerland for 50 years, rolling the final aircraft off the line in 2019, it has become one of the most successful aircraft of its type.
Thranda Design has replicated this aircraft with great attention to detail and has included a host of features to keep you busy whilst transporting passengers and cargo in and out of the tightest of spots. Along with PBR materials with ‘to the rivet precision,’ the aircraft also comes with a custom, dynamic flight model based on the real aircraft, a range of external animations such as chocks, tie-downs, covers and even an electric tug to manoeuvre the aircraft on the ground. Thranda Design has even modelled a sliding door that responds to G-forces and will shut when pointing the nose at the ground. The PC-6 Turbo Porter makes use of custom FMOD sounds which include realistic 3D audio sounds of the PT6 engine as well as accurately modelled sounds of electrical systems, high angle of attack winds and changes in prop pitch.
This release gives you the ability to create your own 3D cockpit arrangements, putting gauges exactly where you want them with support for different avionics packages such as the Reality XP GTN750, GNS430 and the GNS530. The PC-6 comes with 12 traditional liveries with the added option to change tail numbers and livery colours in realtime giving you the option to create bespoke liveries and view them directly in sim.
