This Studebaker Lark got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1963 Studebaker Lark Daytona Wagonaire has been refinished in mauve over a two-tone tan and brown interior and is powered by a rebuilt 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a modified removable rear roof section, a roof rack, a power-operated tailgate window, chrome bumpers and trim, Studebaker wheel covers, air conditioning, and a pop-up vanity mirror in the glovebox. The car was reportedly acquired by the seller’s aunt and uncle in 1994, with ownership passing to the seller in June 2021. Subsequent service included an engine inspection, a differential service, and replacing the fuel-pump gasket and the battery. This Wagonaire is now offered with spare and removed parts, recent service records, and a clean Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.

The car is said to have been refinished in its current shade during the ownership of the seller’s aunt and uncle. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, a roof rack, and quad headlamps. The seller notes that the car is missing emblems and badging on the fenders. Images of dents and dings on the chrome side moldings and other exterior blemishes are pictured in the gallery below.

White-painted 15″ steel wheels wear red-centered Studebaker covers and are mounted with 205/75 Big O Sun Valley whitewall tires. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners. White paint is peeling from the wheels, the emergency-brake cable is disconnected, and the seller notes that the car sometimes makes an intermittent clanging noise while driving.

The Wagonaire was based on the standard Lark-type station wagon, and this fixed-roof example features a rear roof section that has been cut and modified so that it can be removed or manually bolted back into place. Images of the car with the rear roof section removed are provided near the end of the gallery. The fold-down tailgate is equipped with a power window, and the seller notes that the back window requires manual assistance to close and that the integrated tailgate step bar is missing. The painted surfaces of the inner wheel wells and side panels exhibit scratches and wear.

The cabin is trimmed in two-tone tan and brown vinyl upholstery with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. The car features two rows of bench seating, air conditioning, a heater, and a vanity glovebox that houses a pop-up mirror and a makeup tray. The seller notes that the car does not have seatbelts, the front-passenger headrest is missing, and the dash-mounted retro-style AM/FM/cassette head unit is disconnected. The front headliner section is missing, as is the headliner above the rear seat, and the top of the glovebox door is warped. Headliner rails and a sample piece of the removed headliner will accompany the vehicle.

The two-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in a black cover, has a chrome horn ring, and frames a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. A switch to operate the tailgate window is mounted underneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.

The 289ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership and sends power to the rear wheels via a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car has been fitted with an electric fuel pump and a battery-terminal disconnect knob. The engine internals were inspected in July 2021, at which time the oil was changed and the fuel-pump mounting gasket was replaced. The windshield-wiper fuse was replaced in June 2022 and the battery in March 2023.
