Nannacara anomala

These active and attractive dwarf cichlids are a welcome addition to my South American community tank. Jarmila was helpful as always; in this particular instance diligently attempting to obtain my requested M/F ratio even though the fish were still quite juvenile at purchase.

I got a pair of these cichlids and although they unfortunately had ich, I don't believe they were sent that way as Jarmila was very honest about the health of other fish even without me asking- it was probably just a result of stress and coldness during shipping. In any case, they recovered quickly, and although they were quite shy and reclusive the first couple of weeks they soon settled in and are now very lively, colourful and interesting to watch interact with one another. I'd definitely recommend these as less common dwarf cichlids.
