ALMA, Mich. – The Adrian College women's tennis team broke its losing streak with an 8-1 win on the road at Alma College. The Bulldogs move to 6-6 on the season and are 2-3 in MIAA play.
Adrian finished 3-0 in Doubles with an 8-4 win from Samantha Cyrus and Bethany Posey at No. 1 Doubles, and an 8-3 win from Elizabeth Himebauch and Maddison Wagner at No. 2 Doubles. Vasiliki Gargasoulas and Jocelyn Smith won 8-3 at No. 3 Doubles.
The Bulldogs finished 5-1 in Singles with a pair of 6-2 wins from Posey at No. 2 Singles. Himebauch won 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 3 Singles and Gargasoulas won 6-1 and 6-0 at No. 4. Jamie Nicholls finished with a 7-5 win and 6-4 win at No. 5 Singles and Wagner finished with a 6-3 and 6-1 at No. 6.
The Bulldogs will head to Albion College on Thursday, April 22 at 4:00 for their next match.
